Your data is secure
Since 25 May 2018, companies that handle and process data from EU citizens have had to comply with the requirements of the Basic Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO). This is a regulation for the protection of data of natural persons in the digital age. In Germany, it is made more concrete by the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
The DSGVO and BDSG in some cases place special requirements on automated data analyses in order to take account of the protection of personal data. At Westphalia DataLab, we dealt with the extended requirements of the European Data Protection Directive at an early stage and integrated them into our services and processes. In addition to analytical quality, trust, protection and security are central components of our service.
Westphalia DataLab and DSGVO conformity
According to the DSGVO, the Westphalia DataLab is a data processor (contract processor). Our platform has functions that support our customers in complying with DSGVO requirements. In particular, our platform processes support the deletion of personal data at the request of individuals. All data is encrypted during transmission or at rest or reduced to the minimum required for our analyses. Personal data can be identified by machine learning before it is transferred to our models. This allows personal data to be ignored or the data used to be collected selectively.
A responsible processing of your data is our promise. You retain full data sovereignty.
Contractual and legally compliant data processing
The confidentiality of your data is a matter of course for us. The protection of sensitive information is an integral part of our service. Our data processing and analyses are carried out exclusively within the framework of contractual or data processing agreements in compliance with legal provisions such as the EU Basic Data Protection Ordinance (DSGVO) or the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). This does not only apply to personal data.
Technical support for data-protection-compliant data processing
We take technical requirements for data processing in compliance with data protection very seriously. The design of our infrastructure and standardized processes offer you maximum protection and security for your business sensitive data. Transparency of data processing and compliance with the highest security standards contribute to compliance with legal and regular requirements. So you are on the safe side when it comes to the technical and organisational implementation of your analysis plans.
Legal support for data processing in compliance with data protection regulations
Do you have questions about the legal feasibility of automated data analysis? Using sample use cases from various industries, we will illustrate practical implementation options for your analysis projects that meet legal and technical requirements.
If you have any questions regarding the processing of your personal data, please contact email@example.com.
If you call up pages and files within our websites and are asked to enter data about yourself, we would like to point out that this data transfer via the Internet is unsecured and the data can therefore be read or falsified by unauthorised persons.
